Explanatory Modeling & Computational Science
The Explanatory Modeling and Computational Science track is geared toward using data analytics and simulations to solve scientific problems or model complex systems. It involves working with big data to visualize trends, analyzing descriptive statistics, creating both simulations and visualizations of the outcomes or behaviors. This track hones in on utilizing but not manipulating data, where no predictions are made. This track is aimed for professionals in the field of aerospace, where projects can facilitate their career tasks.
Example Projects
Simulating Planetary Climate Systems
Calculating Optimal Oxygen Usage
Solar System Temperature Analysis
AI & Machine Learning
The AI and Machine Learning track revolves around the development of predictive algorithms that can learn from data, make predictions, and improve over time without being explicitly programmed. It includes areas like natural language processing, computer vision, and predictive analytics. This track involves making predictions with data, regardless of the presence of visualizations. This track is perfect for those passionate about data science and algorithm development!
Example Projects
Astronaut Communication System
Star Mapping/Predicting Position
